Lakeside A cappella Camp
Started as a joint venture between the Northern Blend Chorus (Harmony, Inc.) and Spirit of Syracuse Chorus (Sweet Adelines, International), the Lakeside A cappella Camp was created to offer both male and female singers a great weekend of music, fun, and memories to keep them singing for a lifetime! The only camp of its kind in New York, the weekend is focused on all aspects of a cappella singing and performing, as well as introducing campers to the incredible world of barbershop singing. Barbershop, hailed by Deke Sharon (Pitch Perfect, The Sing-off, and founder of the Contemporary A cappella Society) as “the black belt of a cappella music,” is a uniquely American art-form of 4-part a cappella singing championed by Harmony, Inc., Sweet Adelines, International, and the Barbershop Harmony Society.

All campers and chaperones will stay in dorms on-campus at SUNY Oswego. All chaperones will be experienced and vetted for this camp. An experienced camp nurse will also be on hand at all times.
